A sailboat or sailing boat are boats propelled partly or entirely by their sails. In the Galapagos all the sailboats will be using their motors to keep time for the scheduled itineraries.

The term sailboat covers a variety of boats from small boats to larger vessels with multiple masts. In the Galapagos you will find Sloops, Ketches, and Schooners. We are referring to all of these as Motor Sailboats for simplicity.
